Raw and Juicy, the organic juice bar located in a vintage 1966 Airstream in Seaside, is expanding its presence with Raw + Juicy Life, a lifestyle boutique also located in Seaside.
Raw + Juicy Life offers alternative dining, beauty, gift, home and garden options that are made with care and attention to innovation, community and ecology.
“We’ve always strived to be an educator in the community for natural and organic living,” said Raw & Juicy owner Jenifer Kuntz. “Now we have a retail platform to expand on that by showcasing artisans who create beautiful things in sustainable and reasoned ways.”
Evolving from the growth that Raw & Juicy has experienced since first opening its Airstream window for service in 2008, a lifestyle boutique seemed to be a natural next step for Kuntz.
Seaside co-founder Daryl Davis was enthusiastically supportive at the idea of Kuntz creating a sister location to add to Seaside’s eclectic merchant mix.
“Jen’s a natural born entrepreneur with outstanding leadership skills,” Davis said. “I have no doubt that Raw & Juicy Life will be a stunning success much as both Raw & Juicy and the Seaside Farmers Market have been.”
A former dancer and yoga instructor turned raw foods chef and certified Ayurvedic Consultant, Kuntz’s personal touch is evident in the excellent quality, flavor and fun she brings to her business.
Ranked among the “Top 10 Juice Bars Across the Country” by USA Today, Kuntz has applied those same standards of excellence from her successful food business to the new product line for Raw + Juicy Life.
Many of the environmentally conscientious vendors have a charitable component to their business model — a practice that’s important to Kuntz and her team.
Raw + Juicy Life features grab-and-go cold-pressed organic juices, gluten-free beer, organic wine and sake, an expanded vegetarian, vegan and raw menu, custom picnic baskets and a number of thoughtfully-curated lifestyle products and accessories.
“Raw + Juicy Life is a celebration of the outdoor experience, whether it’s having a picnic on the beach, playing, napping or just generally being fully present surrounded by water, sand and nature,” Kuntz said. “We hope our new shop encourages others to better experience this beautiful way of life we are so fortunate to live here at the beach.”
