If you’re a woman in business, Baltimore is the place for you, according to new research by ShareFile, a cloud-based file sharing service.
Baltimore ranked first in ShareFile’s Businesswomen Power City Index, which evaluated cities based on number of women-owned businesses, number of executives roles held by women, cost of living and the wage gap between men and women.
Tampa, Washington, D.C., Las Vegas and Orlando rounded out the index’s top best cities for women entrepreneurs.
“We are excited to share the best cities in the U.S. for Women Entrepreneurs, and we congratulate Baltimore for being at the top of the list,” said Catherine Harrell, vice president of marketing at ShareFile, in a statement.
“It’s a great city for women to not only start a business but to get the most for their money.”
