Up to a dozen girls ages 6 to 14 will take turns selling their entrepreneurial wares during a Young Entrepreneur Week sponsored by ivivva — lululemon’s girls athletic brand — and The Fashion Class, both in Manhasset.

The idea is to inspire business-minded girls and teach them that it’s never too early to start growing their brand. “We see a lot of our students developing a huge interest in entrepreneurship,” says Kerri Quigley, owner of The Fashion Class, a studio for children and teens that teaches sewing and fashion design. “They love making things, but it doesn’t stop there. They want to create products for their parents and friends, too.”

Young Entrepreneur Week aims to showcase up to three kid-run businesses each day over four days from noon to 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, through Saturday, April 30, at ivivva, 338 Plandome Rd., Manhasset. Brooke Lieber, 8, of Jericho (pictured) will showcase her homemade pillows, for instance.

“Our goal is to create a platform to launch their creativity and instill confidence,” says Gina Bethany, showroom manager for ivivva of Manhasset.
