Her Majesty Queen Rania on Sunday met with 12 Jordanian women entrepreneurs at the King Hussein Business Park and commended them on their achievements.
The entrepreneurs own small- and medium-sized enterprises in a number of fields, including information and communications technology, healthcare, clean technologies, creative industries and social media, according to a statement from the Queen’s office.
The women shared their success stories with Her Majesty, highlighting their early beginnings, business challenges and future goals.
Queen Rania described their innovative projects as a source of pride for Jordan because they represent unique examples of original business ideas.
During the meeting, the women also showcased their business models and the various services they provide, including event scheduling and ticketing, direct marketing, cooking tutorials and audio books.
The entrepreneurs thanked the King Hussein Business Park for providing them with work spaces and logistical support, and helping them gain local and international exposure.
They also said they looked forward to overcoming the challenges caused by bureaucracy that stalls the growth of their businesses locally and internationally.
The King Hussein Business Park provides offices and infrastructure to small and medium sized start-ups, entrepreneurs, investors and creative professionals to help them take their business ideas to the next level.
