Gabrielle Union has unveiled a new look and bringing a new definition to tropes surrounding women and their hair.
The actress, entrepreneur and real-life basketball wife recently revealed a series of selfies rocking a brand new short curly haircut.
“So, I did a thing,” she began about her latest hair transformation on Instagram.
“The movies always show women cutting their hair when all is lost, but I wanted to know the feeling of making a change when things are gravy,” Union continued.
“It hits different, and it’s foreign to me, but I [love] this new,” she added with the hashtags: #SummerChop #FlawlessChop #FlawlessCut.”
Through the years, the 48-year-old beauty has proven she can rock any hairstyle — no matter how long or short — and is known to push the boundaries of fashion and beauty with her Flawless haircare brand.
Since the Saturday posting, the former “America’s Got Talent” judge has received more than 1 million likes with fans and celebrity notables showing her some hair love, and calling out how “gorgeous” and “amazing” she looks.
Throughout the slideshow of Instagram photos, Union-Wade seen wearing bright lipstick, gold chain necklaces, hoop earrings and a polka dot dress along with her chic new hair look.
Her hair was styled by her longtime hair guru and friend, Larry Sims, who cut Union’s natural hair into a rocking bob in 2018.
