WWR Article Summary (tl;dr) “Right Bite” is a Dubai based personalized healthy meal delivery service offering individuals gourmet, nutritious meals based on their dietary requirements.
It is no secret that what you eat and how much you eat impacts your health, energy level and mood. That is why adopting a habit of balanced and nutritious diet becomes essential to remain competitive in today’s lifestyle. But it is not always easy to pick healthy foods with plenty of choices and variety. Dietician Nathalie Haddad immediately identified this gap in the market after she moved to Dubai.
After studying nutrition and dietetics in Lebanon and Canada, Nathalie Haddad moved to Dubai in 2004 and started counselling individuals on dietary and food habits.
“Right Bite was a natural evolution. Due to the demand from clients wanting to eat healthily yet struggling with fast and busy lifestyles, I started Right Bite as a personalized healthy meal delivery service offering individuals gourmet, nutritious meals based on their dietary requirements and goals allowing them to change their lifestyles hassle free,” said Nathalie, founder and managing director of Right Bite Nutrition and Catering Services.
Nathalie started small.
“I kept the business as efficient as possible and grew very organically so was able to self-fund as we scaled up,” she said.
The 36-year-old mother-of-two now has a staff of 155 working with her out of their central production facilities and logistics fleet.
“When I started Right Bite back in 2004, we were operating out of a rented kitchen and were a team of four,” she recalled.
Nathalie believes that through Right Bite she is helping individuals feel better, energised, productive and most importantly achieve their goals. “And, that indeed affects their mental wellbeing and overall day-to-day lives.”
She said that subscription commerce is considered the new big thing but that is essentially what she has been doing for the past 10 years. “Time, space and resources are very scarce. Kitchens are getting smaller, restaurants are becoming more expensive. Right Bite allows you to go about your day without having to worry about your nutritional needs so that you can focus more on what makes you happy — be it your business, your family, or even yourself,” she said.
Nathalie said the market has been drastically changing since she started her entrepreneurial journey. “Today I find the environment very encouraging as information is easily available and the financial players are starting to realise that there is a lot of local value for them to tap into,” she said.
Nathalie said she’s been exploring some new ideas to expand her business. “I am currently exploring other sectors of the wellness market to complement my core business as this is my area of expertise and I believe it’s important to focus on what one does best.
“Being part of the Endeavor UAE network has also provided me with the support and guidance that an entrepreneur needs at times, to ensure that we are heading in the right direction with the correct strategy and that we are provided with the tools needed to accelerate growth and expansion,” she said.
Nathalie said the UAE ecosystem is maturing in a very healthy way. She expects in the coming days more and more people would opt to start their own businesses. However, she said entrepreneurs must remain focused on their ideas.
“Believe in yourself and your idea. Be passionate about what you want to do. Read, educate yourself, and get as much help as you can absorb. It’s non-stop at times, so you must have a lot of patience and endurance,” she said.
“Social media is great as it allows you to engage with your clients in a more direct manner, and build a rapport and trust.
Nathalie said she strongly believes that hard work and meticulous planning will always pay off.
“We have a state-of-the-art kitchen and are continuously improving our business operation, and investing in my team to ensure we have a strong team in place that is aligned and working towards the same goals and targets. We focus on having a solid foundation and do everything in-house which allows us to control our clients’ experience from start to finish and ensure optimum quality,” she concluded.
